The Aqualandia water park, with the highest slide in Europe, offers thrills and excitement for adults and children alike.
In Torino square there are a multitude of events, such as the “Festa dei fiori” (Flower Festival), the “ Festa dell’Uva” (Grape Festival), the “mercatino dell’antiquariato” (Antiques Market) and, most importantly, a wealth of musical events with internationally famous artists that constantly enliven the Summer.
The sandy shore opposite Piazza Brescia hosts the popular annual Summer highlight “Castelli di Sabbia”, an international sand sculpture festival. Many international artists compete to create every kind of shape from the fine, golden sand. They receive applause from the public, a prize and a photograph of the event for having created, even for a short time, a real work of art. Every Summer, part of the area’s long beach is dedicated to a famous person; someone who has distinguished themselves in the world of art, culture, or sport. This event began in 2001 and takes place in Jesolo during the month of August. Past award-winning artists include Alberto Sordi, Gina Lollobrigida, Andrea Bocelli and Katia Ricciarelli.
All this makes Jesolo an ideal place for relaxation, enjoyment and socialising. The slogan “Europe meets in Jesolo” is completely true. During the Summer, young Europeans come together in this marvellous seaside town to meet and party. Its closeness to Venice makes Jesolo an ideal starting point for visiting this fascinating city. A few minutes by bus take you to the boarding point at Punta Sabbioni, where a motor boat leaves for St. Mark’s Square every 15 minutes. You can also reach Venice by sea, on a special boat that leaves from the landing stages of Jesolo and admire the coastline from the open sea.
